Equita Lyon 2026: the essential information

Equita Lyon takes place at Eurexpo Lyon, Boulevard de l'Europe in Chassieu, east of Lyon.

For the 2026 edition, the currently announced opening hours are as follows:

• Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8 am to 8:30 pm
• Saturday: 8 am to 10:30 pm
• Sunday: 8 am to 7 pm

The organisers note that these hours remain subject to change.

These opening hours have a simple consequence: if Equita Lyon is the main reason for your trip, the location of your hotel and how you plan to get around deserve to be decided before you arrive.

Choosing accommodation around Chassieu, Bron, or close to Eurexpo mainly reduces the distance between your hotel and the show.

The main advantage is obvious: less travel before and after a long day.

Staying in Lyon: prioritising the stay as a whole

Staying in Lyon can make more sense when Equita is only part of the programme.

This is especially true if you want to have dinner in town, host partners or clients, extend the evening after the show, or simply enjoy Lyon during your stay.

The city centre also makes a more natural meeting point when members of the same group arrive by different means: train at Part-Dieu or Perrache, plane at Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, car, or private transfer.

You simply need to factor travel to Eurexpo into your daily organisation.

From central Lyon, the journey by public transport is estimated at around 30 minutes, via metro line D to Grange Blanche then tram T5 to Eurexpo. Also allow around 30 minutes from Part-Dieu and 40 minutes from Perrache.

The choice is therefore not just: "What is the best hotel?"

It is more about knowing where your group needs to be at the right time during the five days. And it is often from this question that the organisation becomes more complex.

How to organise your travel to Eurexpo?

For an individual visitor, public transport is a straightforward solution. Equita Lyon actually recommends prioritising it given the expected turnout during the show.

From Lyon, several routes allow you to reach Eurexpo, notably via tram T5 or a connection at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie.

From Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport, the indicated route goes via Rhônexpress to Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, then a connection to Eurexpo. The journey is estimated at around 35 minutes.

By car, visitor access is notably via the A43 or the Rocade Est A46. Paid parking is available at Eurexpo. On Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2026, a park-and-ride is also announced at Groupama Stadium, with a shuttle to Eurexpo.

All of this works relatively simply when everyone organises their own travel. The situation changes when several people need to travel together.

Imagine a team where two members arrive at Part-Dieu on Wednesday morning, three others at Saint-Exupéry in the afternoon, an executive on Thursday evening, with rooms at the same hotel, a daily presence at Eurexpo, and a dinner planned in town.
